IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE We strive to prevent illness. The time and effort invested in preventative medicine programs has rewards for both pets and owners.
Preventitive medicine programs are designed specifically for your pet and includes:
- Comprehensive physical exam;
- Internal parasite testing;
- Heartworm and flea control;
- Vaccination program;
- Spaying and neutering ;
- Specialized blood tests for all life stages.

EXOTIC PETS: BIRDS, REPTILES AND SMALL MAMMALS Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. Dr Halpern and Dr Valdes have experience in the care and treatments of exotics. |
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Your veterinarians are available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. |
MICROCHIPPING | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the AVID microchip to increase the chances of a safe recovery. A small microchip (about the size of a grain of rice) is injected into your pet, shelters and other animal facilities have scanners to read these chips so your pet can be identified and returned to you quickly. |
INTERNAL MEDICINE | We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others. |
RADIOLOGY Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We are equipped with an automatic processor for prompt developing, for fast diagnostics. In emergencies we can have results in as fast as 15 minutes. Some X-rays may require sedation and are done during procedure hours. In these cases your pet may need to stay in the hospital for a few hour. |
ULTRASOUND | This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available. We now have an ultrasound machine in the office that can be used by our doctors. More complicated ultrasounds are read and diagnosed by a board certified veterinary radiologist. |
HOSPITALIZATION We offer full service hospitalization on our premises.

We have over 40 cages in our hospital, which include a recovery and ICU ward.

We have introvenus fluid pumps to precisely regulate the flow of fluids being administered to your pet.

We have certified technicians to monitor and treat your pet. Late night monitoring is done by our staff.

Our doctors do rounds at least three times a day to evaluate and monitor your pets condition.

Our doctors will speak to you at least once a day while your pet is hospitalized with us to discuss it's progress.

DENTAL CARE | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasonic unit to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Diseased teeth may need to be extracted. Our technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Each dental procedure is supervised by a doctor. Sedation is required for this procedure and blood work may be necessary prior to sedation. Post dentistry pain management is available for your pet. |
SURGERY We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; Blood pressure and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care.

SPECIALIZED SURGERY For your convince a board certified surgeon is available by special appointment to perform procedures in our office. Your pet will then recover and be monitored by our staff. The surgeon is also available for exams and consultations by appointment. |
EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE In any emergency, seconds count. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours and on week nights until midnight. please call ahead so we can prepare for your emergency. You can also call and speak to a doctor if you are not sure whether your pets condition requires immediate attention.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION | We perform emergency and necessary transfusions for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners. We also store artificial blood(oxyglobin) that can be used on dogs and cats instead of full blood transfusions. |
PAIN MANAGEMENT | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We have a variety of products for use that can meet the needs of your pet. |
FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs available.
We also know that administering a pill to your pet is sometimes difficult, therefore, we work with a local pharmacist who can compound many medications into other forms of administration such as:
- Flavored liquid
- Transdermal gel
- Treat form

EUTHANASIA AND CREMATION SERVICES | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. Private Cremation with the ashes returned is available.Greif counseling is also available. |
BATHING | Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If your pet suffers from skin problems or allergies your veterinarian may recommend special medicated baths. Special dips for external parasites are also available. |
GROOMING We employ a full time groomer for your convince at our facility. In situations were a pet needs sedation our veterinarians will decide on the safest protocol for your pet. Recovery is monitored by our staff. Appointments are necessary for all groomings. |
BOARDING | Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. We have a separate ward for cats. All pets need to be up to date on their vaccines for admission to our facility. During warm and summer months all pets are treated for flea and tick prevention. Special dietary needs are met. If your pet requires medication during its stay, we will happily medicate for you. |
